Viva Magenta – Pantone Colour of the Year 2023

And while Viva Magenta is audacious, with an indomitable verve for life, it doesn’t need to be overpowering.  In fact, we see it daily, in small pops of sheer joy, in the form of flowers, foliage, fruits and vegetables.

So while some of us may find this colour challenging, in terms of how to use it, it is actually one of the easiest – and most joyous – colours to incorporate into our daily lives.

Those who prefer to tread softly can experiment with flowers, such as lilies, dahlias and roses, or display a bowl of fruits such as dragonfruit, cherries or pomegranates.  This vibrant magenta could be included in a space’s decorative elements such as cushions or rugs – or even as a sheet or pillowcases in an overall bedlinen ensemble.

Outdoor entertaining areas will positively sing with the addition of Viva Magenta, especially in the form of potted plants such as hibiscus or bougainvillea.
