London-born Neale Whitaker may be best known as the stylish judge on Nine’s Logie-winning juggernaut The Block and co-host of Foxtel’s number one series Love It or List It Australia, but he’s also enjoyed a hugely successful international publishing career.
Neale has edited some of the most respected lifestyle magazines in the world, including Australian interior design bibles Belle and Vogue Living, Vogue Entertaining + Travel, Delicious and the UK’s Food Illustrated. He was also a weekly columnist on News Corp’s Australian Sunday mastheads and in Stellar magazine.
His extensive knowledge and experience have made Neale a respected and popular media personality in Australia. In 2023 Love It or List It Australia returns to Foxtel’s Lifestyle for a fifth season and the show is currently enjoyed by a substantial global audience. 2023 will also see Neale return to The Block for his 13th year and 17th season.
For Wattyl, 2023 is an exciting time with the release of a significant number of new colours, add to this the talented input of Neale Whitaker to create stunning new colour schemes for both interior and exterior use, bringing to life a range of architectural and interior design styles.
The genesis of the Wattyl and Neale Whitaker partnership began much like most of Wattyl’s relationships with Australians – Neale was embarking on a building project of his own, and when it came time to choose paint products and colours he turned to Wattyl for expert advice. The confidence and trust that followed this initial collaboration made the transition to this partnership a natural next step.
I love colour and the transformative effect it has on our environment and emotions. I’ve long wanted to work with a premium paint brand, but it was important to me that the brand had a strong Australian heritage.
