Substrate Compatibility

There is a Granosite® Texture Coating System to suit most commonly available substrates.

High Performance

Granosite® Full Texture Coating Systems are low-maintenance and provide durability, performance and protection such as water resistance, dirt resistance, colour hold, and elasticity to assist in bridging fine cracks and surface imperfections.

Design Flexibility

Granosite® Texture Coating Systems offer a variety of different looks and thickness builds, from a low-build smooth stipple to a medium-build bag and paint look. To add to this, they can be tinted to most exterior colours.

Rectification Flexibility

Texture

GranoSahara

System Components and Substrates

This guide is a tool to help you select the best Granosite® Texture Product for your system, based on that Substrate you are working with and the ‘look’ you are after.

Step 1 – Determining the Substrate

Granosite® texture coating systems can be applied over a number of substrates as indicated on the Substrate.

Step 2 – Prepare and make-good the substrate for texture coating

Granosite® has a number of preparatory products available, including washing agents, admixtures, patching & jointing compounds, renders and primers.

Step 3 – Select your Texture Coating

Granosite® Texture Coatings are durable and high build, and ultimately determine the decorative appearance of the system.

This guide will help you determine the texture coating to achieve the look you are after.

Step 4 – Final Topcoats and Membranes

For optimal system performance and low-maintenance benefits a final topcoat is recommended, and in some instances necessary – Granosite® has a range of Topcoats and weather proof Membranes that are used for specialty substrates, or when additional façade protection is required.

They can help to protect and seal the texture coat, increase water resistance, dirt resistance, elasticity to assist in bridging fine cracks and surface imperfections, and colour hold.
